FourStroke 300

Built on Mercury's 4.6 litre V8, the FourStroke 300 delivers strong torque and good fuel efficiency at a lower price than Verado. In stock: 300 L, XL and counter rotation CXL, each with DTS and white options, such as the 300 XL DTS.

SeaPro 300

Planning a Multi Engine Rig

On a twin installation, pair one standard and one counter rotation engine of the same family and shaft length so prop torque cancels out and the boat tracks straight. Triple rigs commonly use counter rotating outer engines with a standard rotation centre engine. Verado engines use integrated electric steering, which simplifies transom rigging, while FourStroke engines use hydraulic steering sized for the load. Digital controls keep multiple engines in sync and can work with Mercury's joystick docking systems. Plan for heavy duty batteries and charging, and high capacity fuel filtration.

Propellers and Care

Offshore boats usually run stainless props chosen so the engines reach the top of their rev range with a realistic load.
