Why Buy a Second Charger?
Charge two batteries at once
If you own two batteries, one charger means waiting for one to finish before starting the other. With two chargers, both batteries are ready at the same time, so a family or group can ride all day.
A charger where you ride
Keep one charger at home and one at the lake house, on the yacht or in your vehicle kit. You no longer have to remember to pack it.
A replacement
Chargers get left behind, dropped or damaged in travel. A genuine Awake charger is the safe way to replace one. Using the correct charger protects your expensive battery.
Charging Safely
- Charge in a dry, well ventilated area away from flammable materials.
- Keep the charger and battery out of direct sun and rain while charging.
- Never cover the battery or charger.
- Let a hot battery cool down after riding before charging.
- Unplug when charging is complete if Awake’s guidance recommends it.
- Only use genuine Awake chargers with Awake batteries.
Building an All Day Setup
A popular setup for families, resorts and yachts is two batteries and two chargers. Start the day with both batteries full. Ride the first, put it on charge, and switch to the second. By the time the second is flat, the first is ready again. Combine an Awake Flex Battery XR for long rides with an Awake Flex Battery SR for quick top ups, and add a second power key leash.
Keeping It Organised
The Awake Ravik Board Bag Kit includes a charger bag, so the charger travels protected alongside the board. To keep your hand controller topped up as well, see the Awake Flex Hand Controller Charger.
