What Is a Hydrofoil Bike?

A hydrofoil bike is a pedal powered watercraft that rides on underwater wings. As you pedal, a propeller pushes you forward. Once you reach a few miles per hour, the carbon fibre foils generate lift, just like an aircraft wing, and the frame rises out of the water. Four buoyancy modules give 250 N of net buoyancy and help the Hydrofoiler sit stable in the water when stopped. Standard components where possible make parts easy to replace, and the crankset, gearbox and propeller shaft are designed as sub assemblies for easy maintenance.
