At its base is a moulded 10 mm stainless steel pin that installs easily, fits all Vibe kayaks and can replace most other manufacturers’ rudders in seconds. It is also the first rudder on the market specifically designed to accept a motor: swap the lower section for a Bixpy rudder adapter and Bixpy jet, and every paddle becomes an adventure.

How the Gravity System Works
The rudder drops into the water under its own weight and locks in place when motorized, so it holds steady in both forward and reverse. Because the lock relies only on gravity, the rudder unlocks and pops up if you hit something in shallow water, protecting both the rudder and the motor. When you want it out of the way completely, the 90 degree Slide and Stow mechanism lifts it clear in a heartbeat.
Why Add a Rudder?
A rudder keeps your kayak tracking straight in wind and current, so you spend less energy correcting your course. Anglers can hold a line along a bank or over a drop off while they cast. Steering is done with adjustable foot pedals, so your hands stay free.
Motor Ready
Want more range? Remove the cap, fit a Bixpy rudder adapter and a Bixpy jet motor (sold separately), and your kayak becomes motorized while keeping rudder steering. Check local rules first, as motorized kayaks may need registration.
Compatibility
It fits all Vibe kayaks with a standard 10 mm rudder pin hole, including the rudder ready Yellowfin 120 and Yellowfin 130T, and can replace most other brands’ rudders.
